Kidney mSMI with cortical flow - Cortical flow in the kidneys is seen with far more detail with the use of SMI technology. SMI has the capabilities to see very slow flow in small vessels with outstanding resolution. Proven to be useful in renal transplant work and paediatric scanning.
AML cyst kidney - Both AML and simple renal cyst can be seen in the kidney very close to one another. The Aplio i-series has excellent contrast resolution being able to define the echotexture of the bright AML adjacent to the echolucent renal cyst. This allows better visualisation of both pathologies at the same time without having to optimise systems settings individually.
Bowel quad view with SMI - the Aplio i-series systems are iconic in their ability to image the bowel. Excellent B-mode imaging allows visualisation of these gas filled structures and ADF and SMI are proving useful in assessment of inflamed states.
Bile Duct - Bile Duct is seen very well on the i-series system. High Contrast and Spatial resolution is achieved with the systems processing and the i8CX1 transducer. The matrix transducers provide a very thin ultrasound slice resulting in less partial-volume artefact when interrogating the body structures.
Gallbladder Polyp - Gallbladder Polyp clearly demonstrated on the Aplio i-series ultrasound system. The combination of the i8CX1 matrix transducer, Differential Harmonics and i-series processing produce an image that shows high-resolution tissue differentiation throughout the whole image.
