New Alphenix Hi-Def Detector - Visualise devices like never before

The Alphenix interventional systems feature the world’s first high definition (Hi-Def) detector with 76 micron pixel imaging mode. At more than twice the spatial resolution of conventional flat panel detectors (FPD), the Hi-Def detector helps clinicians visualise fine details and anatomical structures and deploy devices with accuracy and confidence.

Featuring the highest level of resolution available in the angiography market, Canon Medical have redefined interventional visualisation, providing clinicians with unsurpassed clinical confidence during interventional procedures.

Innovative Hi-Def imaging system for complex interventional cardiology procedures

Initial experience using a novel Hi-Def imaging system shows that it can be used safely to improve visualisation of coronary arteries and interventional devices during PCI in real-time, with no observable increase in patient dose. Images obtained in the Hi-Def setting have a higher resolution and improved quality compared to standard imaging modes, allowing visual analysis of vessel anatomy and stent structure with a high level of accuracy.

Spot ROI - See more, for less dose

The unique Spot ROI collimator filter allows the operator to reduce dose to surrounding anatomy while simultaneously ensuring full image quality in the area that matters most.

Spot ROI
  • Can be positioned anywhere with the Field of View (FOV)
  • Can be used to significantly reduce dose during fluoroscopic and DA runs
  • Allows the operator to monitor the position of your guide wire and the surrounding anatomy, at significantly lower dose

Dose reduced by 65-85%

"Spot ROI helps us reduce radiation dose to our patients (and staff). Its use of a filter that is introduced into the beam with an aperture means we can maintain the image quality we want at the point of treatment but the surrounding field of view with catheter tip and guide wire tip can still be seen at a dose that is reduced by 65-85%. DoseRite

Dose Tracking System - Visualise skin dose in real-time

DTS is a patient-centric model that records the patient’s skin dose in real-time according to imaging parameters and geometry to provide an accurate demonstration of the dose received during and examination.

Real-time dose monitoring and visualisation allows the operator to modify their approach during procedures to avoid regions where dose thresholds could be exceeded.
A study by The St George Hospital found that use of advanced Dose Reduction Technology (DTS) resulted in a 46% reduction in peak skin dose during coronary stent insertion. Researchers confirmed that ongoing real-time dose feedback is a critical factor in the successful modification of operator behaviour to reduce radiation dose. *

DoseRite

Dose Report - See radiation exposure like never before

Summary dose reports provide a record of estimated peak skin dose and dose parameters, including snapshots of skin dose distribution.

All patient DTS data can be easily exported and referenced during subsequent procedures, to ensure that regions of previous high exposure can be avoided.

“Dose reduction is now a top priority everywhere in the guidelines, but how to achieve it is not always at hand. All the tools that have been made available to us with Alphenix Core + have been very useful to improve the overall safety of our procedures radiation-wise - Spot ROI and Live Zoom, but also sound alerts and the very intuitive dose tracking system.
