Toshiba Medical’s ground-breaking 16-row helical Aquilion Lightning system for whole-body imaging, employs cutting-edge technologies to optimise patient care and accelerate clinical decision making. The team at Regional Imagining Palmerston lead the way with the with the first Lightning system install in Australia.
“There are a few things I was quite impressed with on the new Lightning system:
Helical SEMAR is an excellent feature that we will use regularly. I wasn’t expecting gantry tilt to be available, it is a bonus!
The patient screen on the gantry is useful. Reconstruction speed is impressive.
App support was great! Dave was knowledgeable, thorough and was good at spotting things we didn’t know and informing us on better ways to use the system.
The scanner has a large bore and at the same time the entire unit is very small – the whole unit is easy to clean.
We’ve regained a lot of space in the control room from the smaller box and single control PC.
Installation was very smooth!”
