INTRODUCING THE TOSHIBA MEDICAL SPORTSMED PROGRAM

Toshiba Medical’s SportsMed program consists of partnerships with elite sports clubs and their medical teams, utilising dedicated imaging facilities.

The program’s aims include developing advances in diagnosis and treatment of sports related conditions at the elite level, specifically in injury and rehabilitation management, and working together to enable translation of these advances to routine clinical practice.

Current partners include Manchester United and FC Barcelona, with Real Madrid‘s facilities to be installed during 2017.

Plans are in place to expand the scope and breadth of sporting disciplines involved in the SportsMed program and so develop a global network of specialists in sports related imaging, its use in diagnosis and management of athletes.
