LONG AWAITED CT MACHINE ARRIVES

CT scanner arrives – Latest news on Narrabri Courier

“It’s here: Narrabri Hospital radiographer Jackie Williams and chief radiographer Jenna Read admire the new CT scanner as installation got underway yesterday. The purchase of the scanner was fast tracked by a local fundraising campaign.”

The brand new $600,000 CT scanner arrived at Narrabri Hospital yesterday.

Two trucks arrived at the hospital early on Monday morning and a team of delivery and technical personnel got to work unpacking and installing the machine.

The purchase of the scanner was aided by a huge community fund raising campaign, kick-started in March by the Narrabri CWA branch tipping in $120,000 and supported by businesses, clubs and individuals.

Hunter New England Health said the installation came earlier than anticipated thanks to the significant community donations.
