Canon Medical Systems’ inaugural Shear wave Education Day will focus on liver assessment covering pathophysiology, ultrasound assessment and Shear wave.
You will learn about chronic liver disease, pathological changes of the liver, view specimen pots of various etiologies of liver disease, learn about ultrasound assessment of chronic liver disease, discover the benefits of Shear wave and what’s new in the assessment of liver disease.

- Sandra O’Hara MMS AFASA AMS
Sandra is the tutor Sonographer at SKG Radiology in Perth, overseeing one of the largest Ultrasound training programs in Australia. She has 25 years of experience as a Sonographer, she obtained the General DMU in 1993. Sandra is experienced in general, obstetric, vascular and musculoskeletal ultrasound, and is committed to maintaining high standards of practice in the field of Sonography. She completed her Master of Medical Sonography in 2015 with the research for this qualification incorporating 3 peer reviewed publications. More recently Sandra has been awarded WA Sonographer of the year in 2016 and has become an Associate Fellow of the ASA.
- Marilyn Zelesco
Marilyn is Lead Sonographer at Fiona Stanley Hospital and comes with over 30 years scanning experience and has been an active in both education and professional activities. She has been the recipient of awards from the AIR, ASA and ASUM. Her main interests in ultrasound are the use of ultrasound contrast, liver disease, renal transplants, indigenous health matters and research.
